Tell us about something about this photo:
“The photo is a cliche, something everyone’s done, but something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. You see these photos all the time, but it doesn’t make them any less spectacular. The sun and mist pouring through the trees during the perfect sunrise. If I’m completely honest, this photo almost didn’t happen. I was shooting the sunrise from a different location and had done for the morning and was walking back to the car. I happened to turn to look back and saw this. I quickly set up tripod up and started shooting. It was a rush job as the sun was moving so quickly! I had on the wrong lens, the wrong filters, the tripod was at the wrong height! Actually getting the shot after sorting all that out made it all the more satisfying.”

What do you like most about this photo?
“Just the overall atmosphere you feel looking at it; the mist and the strong colours. There’s things I’d change about the composition though.”
